In transit

the last sydney supper

Why did the flight attendant call Marcel a chicken? Why did RJ actually get a head set to listen to Eat Pray Love? Why did Will take off his shoes the minute we got on the Sydney to San Fran’ plane? These questions and more will be answered! We have just purchased wi-fi on the San Fran’ to NYC flight so patient Marcel could finally get his ATAR.

We have no idea what time it is because in Sydney it is 9.12 am on Thursday. It is like Ground Hog Day – we are still stuck in Wednesday. In San Fran it is 2.10 pm and in NYC it is 5.10pm. Are we about to eat lunch or dinner? It can’t be breakfast because I remember fruit somewhere in my day.

Take care and enjoy the sun where you are!

Will: It’s an eerie feeling getting on an aeroplane for second breakfast before flying into the night. At 10:40 am Sydney time (Thursday 16/12/10) we’re heading further and further back into Wednesday!! American flight attendants are surprisingly informal, chatting to the travelers over the mic instead of giving a formalised safety speech. Lisa’s enjoying a chance to chat with the boys and whip them at card games. At the risk of sounding like an appliance commercial…life’s good!

A few last minute nerves? Sounds like you are thinking of the immortal words of Cher:

If I could turn back time …
I would fly away, and take back those words I said to you: β€œcan in NY we stay?”

You’ll be well over it by now & be there we imagine – & welcome to groundhog day!
Have a great time & don’t forget the souvenir snow dome to remember the trip by πŸ™‚
P.S. Good luck on the ATAR score Marcel.
