Happy Holidays

We had Christmas in New York City 🙂 Although the sky was covered in mauve clouds the snow did not fall. Apparently there is a 90% chance of snow tomorrow. We had a lovely morning when we opened our gifts for each other. RJ got me the most beautiful paper from Lee’s art store – it even feels gorgeous. We enjoyed watching Will smash his face against his giant chocolate snowman – and the chocolate was worth waiting for. Marz got a cool box of letter stamps for his journal. RJ got a very cool poetry-writing-only-leatherbound-diary (orange from the MET). Then we rugged up against the 32 F (zero) and walked up to 57th and 5th avenue and had a really lovely lunch/dinner at 81/2. We asked the waiter if we ordered Veuve could the boys (under age) have a glass? He said he had a very bad memory and could not remember the question. This means we did enjoy a lovely bottle and a fabulous 3 course meal. We walked back up 5th to Madison and saw the Van Cleef and Arpel windows and the Barney’s windows. A litttle eel told me about those windows and they were great. Martha Stewart was crawling in ‘out of the cold’ through one window. There were so many people around and lights and …gosh, it was fun. Then the beautiful M66 came by and took us along 65th through Central Park and whizzed us home. I love the M66. It stops in front of our apartment 🙂 It’s cold out there baby.

We are at home listening to John Lennon sing; And so this is Christmas. See you in church tomorrow, in Harlem.

Christmas Dinner at 8 1/2 in zero degrees.

Merry Christmas everyone.
